The members of First Baptist Church Senatobia are a diverse and unified group of believers who are attempting to encourage one another to grow in Christ-likeness.  While we all come from different family, social, and economic backgrounds, we are united by our love for the Lord Jesus and, even more so, by His love for us.  The Great Commission has also had the effect of bringing us together under one call, one purpose, to "teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit." (Matt. 28:19)

We are dedicated to the study and application of the timeless word of God.  Teaching scripture, God's revelation of Himself to all people, to all groups is of primary importance to us.

We are a missions-giving and a missions-doing church.  Affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, FBC Senatobia gives to mission efforts around the world through the Cooperative Program, hoping to reach every people-group with the good news of Jesus Christ.  We also participate in spreading the gospel through local, national, and international mission trips.

We are a people committed to genuine and meaningful worship.  We believe the kind of worship God desires most is displayed in a believer's everyday life through obedience.  We believe that if people do not worship the Lord through the offering of daily obedience, they do not worship at all.  Striving to walk faithfully with the Lord Jesus is our greatest act of worship.  (Romans 12:1-2)

We also believe in meaningful corporate worship.  While we recognize that there may be many forms of worship and styles of music used to honor God, we continue to embrace a mostly traditional style.  We do this in the hope of being respectful and reverent before a Holy God.  We also utilize drama, creative worship groups, musicals, and a full choir to glorify the Lord.
