Who is Israel? Israel is the forever family-nation of God.

Where was Israel born? The descendants of Jacob were born as exiles and slaves in Egypt.

Who did God give as a leader for Israel after the days of Joseph? God called Moses to speak God’s word and lead God’s people away from Egypt to the land of promise.

Why did God listen to Israel’s cries for help? God faithfully kept His promises to Abraham and rescued Israel from exile and slavery.

How did God rescue the family of Israel from exile and slavery? God sent 10 plagues on Egypt and humbled them until they let his people go.

How did God make Israel into a nation? God rescued Israel from slavery in Egypt and spoke to them through Moses.

How did God make Israel the most special nation in the world? Israel was

unlike all peoples because God gave Israel His Torah.

What is Torah? Torah is the life-giving Word of God that teaches and trains us in God’s ways.

Why did Israel need God’s Torah? Only Torah could make Israel a kingdom of priests and a holy nation, God’s treasured possession among all peoples.

What reason did Israel have to fully trust God? God fought for Israel and

revealed to them His own covenant name, “Yahweh.” Ex. 6:1-8

What is God’s forever plan for the family nation of Israel? God’s forever plan is to bless all of creation through the family nation of Israel. Revelation 7:9-12

What did God require of Israel to fulfill God’s forever plan for them?

God required Israel to love Him more than anything and be holy as He is holy. Deut. 6:1-25

How did God make his presence known to the family-nation of Israel? While Israel camped in tents, God’s presence dwelt in a tent as well, the tabernacle. Exodus 40:34-48
